My husband and I would like to open a joint account with TD Bank. We both already have existing accounts with TD and are hoping we can link up our current personal account to the joint account. Is this something we can set up online? Or do we need to visit a branch office to do?

Thank you so much for joining us on TD Helps, Hayley. We'll be happy to help you and your husband get set up with your joint account.
Usually, when you open a new account, it should automatically appear on your existing Online and Mobile Banking within 1 business day. If, for some reason, your new joint account doesn't show up, we ask that you give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000. After account verification, our Banking Specialists will be more than happy to link that account for you! If you'd prefer, you may visit any TD location for further assistance. We are always here to help, Hayley. Let us know if you have any further questions.

To clarify my question, we have not yet set up the account. We tried (twice) to set up an account in person, but the wait time at the branch offices was long, so we were hoping we might be able to set up the new account online or over the phone instead. Is that an option?

Thanks for getting back to us, Hayley.
At this time, a joint account must be opened at a local TD Bank Store in person. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We look forward to seeing you both soon. Have a great weekend!
