I just opened a checking account online and will be making my first deposit in person at my local TD bank. will they issue me a ATM card on the spot or do I have to wait for it.. I am asking because after I finished opening my account it said that I will be mailed my new atm card withing 10days.. And I was under the impression I could get one tomorrow at the bank.

We'd like to first welcome you and thank you for joining TD Bank! We'll happily provide you with ways for receiving a new TD Visa Debit Card.
There are a few ways to obtain a Debit Card for your new account. If you requested to receive a Debit Card upon opening your account online, your Debit Card should arrive in the mail within 7-10 business days. Your Debit Card will arrive in an unmarked white envelope. However, if you need to receive your Debit Card sooner, you have the option of visiting your local TD Bank Store during lobby hours. Our Stores will print your Debit Card right on the spot. You'll be able to walk out with a new Debit Card in your hand! Once at the Store, please ask the Store Representative to close your current Debit Card being mailed since it will no longer be useful once you activate the card you will receive at the Store. Take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores for nearby Store locations and hours.
Brett, let us know if you have any other questions. Enjoy your new Checking Account, and have a great day!
