What does this mean? You have two accounts open? Or you move from a student account to a simple savings account?

Thank you for your interest in TD, Kelly. We'd be happy to clarify.
As you've mentioned in your question, one of the benefits of the Student Checking account is that you are able to have a Simple Savings account that will have no monthly maintenance fee and no minimum balance requirement. To qualify, you would need to open both account types. If you are between the age of 18 and 24 and a full time student, you may be interested in our Student Checking account. We invite you please visit: http://bit.ly/S8Vejp for all the details you may want to know about this product type.
We recommend taking a look at the variety of accounts we offer to ensure that the selections you've mentioned best suit you. To view and compare our checking accounts, please visit here: http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd. You are also able to receive a custom recommendation by using our Checking Selector Tool found here: http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU. The same goes for our savings accounts! To view and compare savings account products, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9. Or you are able to use our Savings Selector Tool found here: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
Once you've chosen the accounts you'd like to open, there are a few ways you may complete the process. You can open your accounts online by selecting the "Open Account" button below the account you choose and fill in the required fields. You are also able to speak to a Representative directly either 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or by visiting a TD Store during lobby hours for help. To take a look at our Store locations and their hours please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Keep in mind that there are some pieces of information required in order to open an account such as a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
We hope this helps, Kelly and enjoy your day!
