Hello, i'm a foreign citizen without a social security number wanting to open an account at your bank and i read that you need two forms of identification. I have my passport with me but my local id is written in our local language so i wanted to know if that will work? Plus im in Atlanta right now and you don't have any branches in Georgia, so i wanted know how i'm able to open the account. Thanks.

Hi Hassen. Thanks for visiting us at TD Helps today!
We're so glad to hear that you're interested in opening an account with us!
If do not yet have a U.S. Social Security Number, your account will need to be opened inside of a TD Bank Store. While we do not have any Stores in Atlanta yet, there may be some within traveling distance. We encourage you to use our Store locator here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
It is true that we will need to additional photo identification along with your foreign passport. To determine if the documents you have with you are sufficient for a new account, we recommend reaching out to the Store you intend to visit prior to making the trip. We'd be happy to review the forms of ID and documents you have to make sure everything is in order for your new account. You can find contact info and hours for any of our Stores using the link we've provided above.
If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us here or give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
We hope you're enjoying your time in the United States and look forward to meeting with you soon! Take care, Hassen.
