What are the advantages and disadvantages of opening up a TD account when I live in a city without a physical branch? How can I get cashier's checks or money orders or any other service that may require a physical branch?

Even if we haven't yet opened up Store locations near you, we're excited that we can still meet your banking needs.
While you won't be able to get a cashier's check or money order from the bank, you needn't worry. We offer a Bill Pay service that will allow you to send a check directly to an individual or company. While most companies are paid electronically, all others will be issued a draft check straight from TD Bank to their address. The bill pay feature allows you to select the date on which each payment is delivered for added convenience!
Additionally, with Mail-In and Mobile Deposit features, you can use your app or the mail service to ensure that your account is properly funded and good to go. Our Mobile Deposit features offers next day availability on any check deposits completed using the TD Bank Mobile Application.
