Welcome, Alena, and thank you for bringing your question to TD Helps!
To open an account with us you will need to visit us at a TD Bank Store during lobby hours. We apologize for any inconvenience. You can take a look at TD Stores you'd like to visit here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
Before your trip, we recommend taking a look at the accounts we have to offer. Our current checking accounts are located here: https://go.td.com/2eQORxu and our savings accounts can be found here: https://go.td.com/2dIcnAw.
Choosing an account can be tricky and we understand! We offer an Account Selector here: https://go.td.com/2sx4N2E that will ask you a few short questions then generate a recommendation based on your answers!
Once you are ready to visit a Store, as a Non-US resident you will need to bring two forms of identification with you. One form of ID must be a Non-US passport and the second form of ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
We also recommend reaching out to the TD Store you plan on visiting prior to your trip to determine if any additional information will be necessary to open an account.
Thank you for considering TD, Alena. We hope this information helps!
