When you've decided on which account is best for you, you can open the account via the internet by clicking on the "Open Account" box which will be listed at the bottom of each account details. To get started, you'll need the following: Your Social Security number, One of the following: Driver's license, State ID, Military ID or Passport.
If you'd like to change your current account type, run into any problems during the process or if you prefer, you could also give us a call at 888-751-9000 to speak with a Customer Service Representative. Our Representatives are available 24/7 and are ready to help answer any questions and open that account for you! You are also more than welcome to open your new account at your nearest TD Bank store. If you are a Small Business owner and interested in opening a Business Checking account, you will need the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. For a non-resident aliens opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification Number for your business.
