Hi Robert. We'd be happy to help.
If you're unfamiliar with a charge that's pending on your account, please give us a call or stop in to see us at any of our Stores. We should be able to provide you with some information, depending on how the transaction was processed.
If it was done using your debit card, we can provide you any info that the company supplied with the transaction. This could be what kind of business it was, location, and sometimes even a phone number.
If the transaction was done as an ACH, using your account and routing number, we should be able to provide you with trace information. Trace information will help the originating bank provide you with the merchant's contact information. This way you can contact them for an explanation of the charge. If you find that this transaction is an ACH and is fraudulent, a stop payment can be placed while it is still pending. Because there may be a fee associated with placing a stop payment, we recommend reviewing our Personal Fee Schedule at https://go.td.com/2kFZ5mK.
To inquire into this charge, or to place a stop payment, please give us a call at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at a local TD Bank Store. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc. While we're available 24/7 at that phone number, we recommend reaching out to us as quickly as possible so we can take any action necessary.
We look forward to hearing from you, Robert. Take care.
