I do not have a cell phone with texting. Will I have to stop using online banking after this conversion because I won't be able to receive secure one-time codes?

Welcome to TD Helps, Susan! We'd be glad to clarify.
After the update, we will offer single-use security codes instead of security questions. These codes will be able to be accessed using a cell phone or your email address. So don't worry! You'll still be able to use Online Banking even after the change!
