Why do I need a debit card to do online banking? My daughter has a savings account I'm trying to access online. There is no card attached.

Thank you for your inquiry, Jennifer. We'd be happy to help. When using the self-service enrollment feature for Online Banking, we ask for both account number and ATM/debit card number as a form of verification, for account security. As you've mentioned that the account in question does not have a debit card, that's okay. We can set it up for you in a matter of minutes! To do so, we ask that you contact us directly to enroll in Online Banking. You may do so 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or by visiting a TD Store during lobby hours for help. Either way, our Representatives will be happy to help. For TD locations and hours please check out http://bit.ly/TDStores. Please note that if the account in question is an individual account, only the account holder will be able to enroll in Online Banking. Similarly, if the account is a joint/custodial account, the account holder/custodian will need to be present to enroll. We hope this helps, Jennifer and have a great day.
