Thank you for your interest in banking with TD, Mike! We'd be happy to help.
In order to open a business account, all signers must visit a TD Bank Store and be present for the account opening process. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
If you'd still like to open an account, prior to visiting a Store, we suggest reviewing our business accounts. If you take a look here, http://bit.ly/1lWgAhe, the link shows the types of business checking accounts that we offer. Our web page can even make a selection based on your needs with the Business Checking Selector tool: http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw. If you have any questions while reviewing these options, a Business Banking Specialist would be happy to assist you over the telephone. You can reach them by dialing 855-278-8988. Since you're outside the US right now, if you'd like to call, please call on 1-856-751-9000, or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518 and we can connect you.
Once you've decided on the right account for your needs, if you'll be in the US you (and your business partners) can stop by your local TD Bank for assistance. Although is not necessary, we recommend contacting us 24/7 using the numbers above if you'd like to schedule an appointment. You could also click here: http://bit.ly/SWDqsn to fill in a form to request a call from a Small Business Banking Specialist. For information on our lobby hours and locations please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Keep in mind you will need to bring the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. For a non-resident aliens opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID including a non-US Passport and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification Number for your business. Other documents may also be needed depending on the type of business you have, and we recommend discussing this with a Specialist prior to your Store visit.
We hope this helps, Mike and have a good afternoon.
