I am an alien in the United States and I will probably stay more. I am planning to apply for E2 visa and start a business here in NJ. For current situation, is it possible to open an account for someone like me as a tourist? What documents do you need from me?

Thanks for your interest in banking with TD, Faith! We'd be glad to help you open an account with us!
In order to open an account with us, you will need to visit us at a TD Bank Store. For TD Store locations you'd like to visit and their hours, please visit: https://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We invite you to take a look at the accounts we have to offer. To view and compare our checking accounts, visit https://go.td.com/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool: https://go.td.com/KmmHe7 for help with selecting a checking account that is the best fit for your needs.
To view and compare savings account products, click on https://go.td.com/1pJT9I9 , or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool: https://go.td.com/1sxY9Rd which can help you choose the best savings account for you.
Once you are ready to visit a Store, as a Non-US resident you will need to bring two forms of identification with you. One form of ID must be a Non-US passport and the second form of ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
We also recommend reaching out to the TD Store you plan to visit prior to your trip to determine if there are any other documents needed to open your account.
We hope to see you at a TD Store soon, Faith and have a good day!
