Thanks for bringing your question to TD Helps today, Angela. We are happy to help your family save for the future.
TD Bank is pleased to offer our Young Saver account, which is designed specifically for minors. If your son or daughter is listed as the Primary account owner and they are under the age of 18, no minimum balance or monthly fee would apply. In addition, no initial deposit is required to start the account! If you do have funds you would like to deposit when you open the account, any amount can be used.
You can find more details for this account type at: http://bit.ly/1cDNIR3. The account is available in statement and passbook formats. With a statement savings, an ATM card for the account is also available if you prefer.
Please keep in mind that you will need to provide a valid form of identification to open the account, such as a State License, State ID or Passport. Acceptable forms of identification for minors include a School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security Card. Young Saver accounts can be opened at any TD Bank store near you. Please click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find your closest store.
We hope this is the information you were looking for today, Angela! Visit us again anytime.
