Thank you for your interest in banking with TD! We'd be happy to help.
At this time if you currently reside outside of the TD footprint from Maine to Florida, we require that you visit a TD Store in order to open an account. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience.
If you are planning on visiting us soon, feel free to take a look at our Store Locator while planning your trip found here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We recommend taking a look at the variety of accounts we offer prior to your visit. To view and compare our checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help with selecting a checking account that is the best fit for you. To take a look at our savings accounts here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9. You are also able to receive a custom recommendation by using our Savings Selector found here: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM.
When you are able to visit us, be sure to bring a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. As you've lived outside of the U.S., you may be able to bring one of the following as well:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
We also recommend speaking with the TD Store you plan on visiting prior to stopping by to ensure no other documentation will be needed.
We hope this helps and have a great day!
