I opened a new account on line. I received a debit card but no checks. Are checks automatically mailed to me. or do I need to order them?

Welcome to the TD Bank Family John! We're so happy to have you!
Typically we do not automatically send checks once you open a new account. They would need to be ordered as we have many styles of check you may choose from.
If you were interested in ordering checks, an easy way to do so is right from online banking. If you're enrolled in online banking, you may order checks from the comfort of your own home! Please sign into your account here: http://go.td.com/1eaISlq, then click on the Customer Service tab and select 'Order Checks.' If you're not currently enrolled for Online Banking, you may do so by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. Please have your account number, debit card number and Social Security number available. If you have any trouble signing up, please contact our Banking Specialists, 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
You also have the option of ordering checks with a Banking Specialist. Simply contact us at the above mentioned number, and after account verification, we will be happy to order checks on your behalf.
Typically checks take 7-10 business days to be received depending on your postal service. Depending on your account type, if there is a charge for your check order, your account will not be debited until the check order is shipped.
Lastly, if you are near one of our Store locations, we'd love to see you! Feel free to stop in and order your check with a Representative directly. We invite you to take a look here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR for TD Bank locations and lobby hours near you.
Thanks for reaching out, John.
We hope you have a wonderful and happy Holiday!

Thank you for your reply.
However, I have not received an account #, just a debit card. Without an account # i am unable to register for online banking. I don't have a routing # or account #. Was that supposed to come in the mail, or how do i get that?

Welcome Back, John!
At this time, we do not mail account numbers for security reasons. As you do not currently have your account number, you may obtain this information by visiting a TD location.
You can also contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visit a TD Bank location to enroll in online banking.
We apologize for any confusion John.
Have a great weekend!
