My husband is now working out of the USA. There are no TD branches located near him in the USA. He needs a US$ bank account at a US bank and a US$ credi card issued by the same bank. Is there a way that he can set up a US$ account with TD USA without going to a branch or going to a branch in Canada? Will TD look at his Canadian credit history and issue him a credit card?

It's wonderful for you to join us on this morning, Louise.
As a Canadian resident, you'll be happy to learn that your husband is eligible to open a TD Bank US deposit account of his choosing. We invite you to view all of our account options so that you can find an account which best fits your needs. Our Checking Account options are listed here: https://go.td.com/1aDaRqd. Our Savings products are listed here: https://go.td.com/2q7Hrix.
Once he finds an account that suits him and his banking needs, he's welcome to call our Cross Border Banking Team at 877-700-2913 (option 2), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for assistance in opening the account by phone.
It'll be our pleasure to provide you with additional details on how to establish credit here in the United States. Since, you've mention that your husband doesn't have an establish credit history in the US, you'll be glad to know that we can use his Canadian credit history for a US based credit card application. Feel free to call TD Card Services 24/7 at 888-561-8861 to apply or if you have any additional questions.
Hope this clears up your question, Louise! Let us know if we can be of further help and have a great day.
