Good morning to you,
Regarding the check you received from your tenant, we'd like to let you know that we're only able to verify an account or funds status for the account owner or signer. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause you.
Typically, we'd recommend you to visit a TD Bank Store to deposit or cash the check. If one of our Stores is not close enough to your location, we understand you may not be able to do so at this time.
If that is the case, we encourage you to speak with your financial institution regarding a deposit of the check and their returned check policies, including any fees they may assess. We also suggest that you allow the check to fully clear at your financial institution to ensure you have the funds. Please check with them for a time frame for this posting, as they may provide funds available to you before they have collected them from the party in question.
You might also wish to ask your tenant to provide either an Official Check or Money Order in lieu of his/her personal check, so that you're able to ensure the funds are available.
We hope this provides a bit of help.
Please feel free to click 'Reply' with any additional questions you have, and enjoy your upcoming week.
