Our Company name has changed. We are no longer a franchise, so 1st line on our company checks is our correct company name but the 2nd line no longer applies, can we just black out the 2nd line and continue to use the checks?

Before we begin, we'd first like to recommend that you do not alter your checks in anyway. Please understand that by doing so, when your checks are presented for payment at a merchant or at any financial institution, they may not be accepted.
As you mentioned that your company name recently changed, we'd like to recommend that you visit your nearest TD Store location to request to have this information updated. By doing so, you'll also be able to order new checks for your account that can reflect any changes that need to be made!

During your visit, please be sure to have the registration for your business that includes documentation of your new name change. Also, generally speaking, not all signers are needed to make this change; however, depending on your state, this may change. Because of this, before your visit, we ask that you contact your TD Store location to ensure you have the correct documentation, as well as confirm if all signers will need to be present.
