Top of the morning, Kim! We're more than happy to help answer your question.
If he would like to cash his check, it is required to have Photo ID and it would have to be drawn off of TD Bank. He may use a Driver's License, State ID, Military ID or Passport.
Please note that at this time, TD Bank only cashes checks drawn upon TD Bank. With that being said, if he would like to open an account with us, we invite him to take a look at what accounts we currently offer by clicking here: http://bit.ly/Wczmq0 for a list of checking accounts and here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9 for a list of our savings accounts. For a personalized recommendation for a checking account click here: http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU or if he prefers, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help him choose the best savings account for his needs.
If he decides to open an account with us, he may do so via online by selecting the links above, calling us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visiting any TD Bank location during lobby hours. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near him.
If he is not currently a TD Bank Customer and would like to cash a check drawn off a TD Bank account, he is welcomed to do so. Checks can be cashed provided there is no stop payment on the check and it is payable to an individual. We will ask him to provide valid photo identification at the time of the check cashing. Please note that there is a fee of $7.00 per check for this check cashing service. Keep in mind that fees are subject to change
Have a great day!
