I recently purchased a car and I need to transfer money to a UK account. I have the SWIFT number as well as the name, routing and account number of the recipient. I am currently living abroad in New Zealand. What are the ways in which I can transfer this money and what are the fees involved for these services? Thank you for your help.

Thanks for writing into TD Helps, Kate!
We apologize for any inconvenience, in order to initiate a wire transfer, you would need to visit a TD Store. You mentioned you are currently in U.K., once you are back within the TD footprint, which is Maine to Florida, you may visit any TD Store during lobby hours to request a wire transfer. For a listing of TD Bank Stores and hours, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you happen to have a joint owner on your account that lives near a TD Bank Store location, you may have them wire the funds into your UK account. If that's the case, please review the information below.
Once at the Store, you will need to provide the name and address of the receiving bank, as well as their SWIFT/BIC code. You will also need the name on the account to be credited, the beneficiary address and the account number. As you mentioned that it is going to be an international wire, please review additional information on sending international wires at http://bit.ly/1oowsYN.
We utilize the services of correspondent and/or intermediary banks to transfer funds to banks overseas. These banks might charge a fee for their services, and the correspondent and/or intermediary bank might deduct these fees from the wire transfer amount. Please note that we do not process or disburse funds from wire transfers received designated Pay Upon Proper Identification (PUPID) and return them to the sender. For more information on fees for wire transfers, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
If you do not have a joint account owner, you may mail a personal check to your bank in the U.K. to make the deposit. We encourage you also to reach out the bank in U.K. for other possible options.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us 24/7 by telephone. If you are calling from U.K., please dial direct 1-856-751-9000 or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518 if you are able to gain access to a land line phone.
Hope this helps and feel free to come by any time you have a question, Kate. Take care and have a good one!
