Thanks for contacting TD Helps today, Kristen. This is a great question, and we'll be happy to point you in the right direction.
In most cases, once an account is closed, checks will not be able to be presented for payment against that account. Should you not wish to have these checks presented for payment by your creditors, we recommend contacting them directly to ensure that they will not attempt to initiate the checks drawn off of your closed account.
Please understand that while we would like to assist you directly, as TD Helps is not considered a secure forum, we are unable to discuss account specific information. If you have any additional questions in regard to your closed account, we recommend contacting a Live Customer Service Representative at 1-888-751-9000. You're also able to visit any TD Store during lobby hours for assistance. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope this helps, Kristen, and please enjoy the rest of your day.
