Hi there! I have a pending transaction on my credit card( it is in a foreign currency) but the price just increased $150. How is this allowed? What's going on?

Good morning, Dakotah. Thanks for reaching out to us.
When a purchase is made in a foreign country, the final payment amount may differ due to a difference in the exchange rate from the time that the transaction was initially authorized, to the time the funds are actually collected. With some of our credit cards, foreign transaction fees may also apply. To review our different credit cards to see if foreign transaction fees may apply, please click here: https://go.td.com/1XHj0Dq. If you click the hyperlink that says 'Read important terms and conditions', you'll find if these fees apply to the specific credit card you have. We also encourage you to check out https://go.td.com/1ltwDDc for additional information about foreign travel and some frequently asked questions that may help.
As TD Helps is considered an unsecure forum, we do not have access to your account information. Please call our Credit Card Customer Service Team 24/7 at 888-561-8861. We'd like to take a look at this specific transaction so that we can better advise as to what caused this difference in the transaction amount. You're also invited to stop in to see us at any of our local TD Bank Stores. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We see that you're writing in from Canada. Please know that you've reached us here in the United States. If this is in regard to a TD Canada Trust Credit Card, we recommend calling their Credit Card Customer Service Team at 800-983-8472. We're sure they'll be able to explain what's occurred with this transaction.
We look forward to hearing from you soon so that we can help get this resolved. Have a great day, Dakotah.
