Hello. My TD Bank visa debit card works as pin debit in the States, but when I am abroad, it always forces a signature transaction. Is there any way to get a card that would work as PIN abroad? My other banks Mastercard does as well. Another question alongside this - is there any chance TD Bank will have a contactless feature in visa debit cards any time soon?

Hi Bartosz. Thanks for visiting us at TD Helps today! When traveling outside of the United States, you may not be able to use the PIN option. Most U.S. based debit cards are chip-and-signature based, while European cards are chip-and-PIN based. Because of this, you will usually be asked for a signature rather than your PIN. But you may still run across some machines abroad that will ask for your PIN rather than signature. While we're unsure if the Contactless feature is something we've got on the horizon, we intend to pass along your message to the proper departments for consideration in future improvements. It's through suggestions such as yours that we're able to continuously improve the services that we offer for our Customers, so we thank you! We hope you're enjoying your time abroad, Bartosz! Have a great day.
