I would like to open a TD Premier checking account with you. I a non-citizen and non-resident of the US. My passport is German and my current address is in Hong Kong.
Is it possible to open an account without being a resident of the US and by providing a Hong Kong address?

Thanks for your interest in an account with TD, K. We'd be glad to help!
As you mentioned that you'd like to use an address other than one in the U.S., we recommend reaching out to a TD Store directly to discuss your specific concerns. You are able to take a look below at our Store Locator to look up any TD Store from Maine to Florida.
In order to open an account with us, you will need to visit us at a TD Bank Store. To take a look at TD Stores you'd like to visit, please use our Store Locator here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We offer many different types of Checking and Savings accounts. To view and compare our checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help with selecting a checking account that is the best fit for you.
Once you are ready to visit a Store, as a Non-US resident you will need to bring two forms of identification with you. One form of ID must be a Non-US passport and the second form of ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
It is also recommended to reach out to a TD Store prior to your trip to determine if any additional documents are necessary for the account opening process.
We hope this helps, K and have a good day.
