I want to take advantage of the $300 cash back bonus for opening a TD Premier Checking Account, but my girlfriend and I want to open it together. Can we take advantage of the promo in store or can we sign up jointly online?

Thanks for considering opening an account, Brian. We'd be glad to help.
Please know that you are unable to open a joint account online at this time. Don't worry though! Either you or your girlfriend are able to open the promotional account online. Once open, you are able to visit a TD Store during lobby hours to add a signer to the account. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
Keep in mind that upon your visit, the individual that is being added will need their Social Security Number and a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.).
We hope to see you and your girlfriend at a TD Store soon, Brian. Have a good day.

sorry to resurrect an old topic. I wanted to clarify some more. adding a signer means that it will be subject to same rules as "joint account"? Also once we add the signer will we still be eligible for the $300 promotional credit?

Hi Eric! Thanks for joining the conversation!
Adding a signer does mean that the account would become a joint account. However this shouldn’t change your account in any other way than that another person also has full ownership over the account.
As far as the promotion you've mentioned, you may still be able to receive the bonus even when an additional signer is added. As long as you've opened the account using the promotional link, are a new to TD Bank Customer, and complete the direct deposit requirement, you should still qualify, regardless of whether the secondary signer has had a previous account.
If you haven't done so already, you can add a signer at any local TD Bank Store location. We just ask that you both stop in with photo ID so that we can properly update the account. To find a TD Bank Store near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at any of our Stores.
We hope you're having a great day, Eric!
