Hey Bashinzi, thanks for making a stop at TD Helps today. We would be happy to help provide more information regarding our accounts. We appreciate your interest in banking with us.
Although there isn't a required amount to open an account with us, some of our accounts do require a daily minimum balance to avoid a maintenance. We invite you to take a look at what accounts we currently offer by clicking here:http://bit.ly/Wczmq0 for a list of Checking accounts or for a personalized recommendation click here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9. For Savings accounts check out http://bit.ly/1l6nLQ7, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best Savings account for your needs.
You can open an account with us via online, over the telephone or at any TD Bank location during lobby hours. If you choose to open an account online, click on the "Open Account" button underneath the account that you would like to open. If you would like to open the account over the phone, you may contact our 24/7 Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 to have a Customer Service Representative open an account for you. If you decide to visit a TD bank location, take a look at: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
If you own a small business and would like to open a business account with us here at TD Bank, we also have business products with all the features you need to help you achieve your financial goals.
In order to open a business account, the account signer(s) must visit a TD Bank Store and be present for the account opening process along with the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. For a non-resident aliens opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification Number for your business.
We suggest reviewing the types of business accounts prior to visiting a Store. If you take a look here, http://bit.ly/1lWgAhe, the link shows the types of business checking accounts that we offer. Our web page can even make a selection based on your needs with the Business Checking Selector tool:http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw. If you have any questions while reviewing these options, a Business Banking Specialist would be happy to assist you over the telephone. You can reach them by dialing 855-278-8988.
We hope this helps and please do not hesitate to write back if you have further questions.
