If I credit card company receives my check on a Friday (Friday morning) why do I not see the funds debited from my checking account until the following Monday? Are checks not processed on Saturday? Thank you.

We understand your concern, Joan and we'd be happy to clarify.
When you issue a check from your account, it is up to the payee to negotiate the check itself. This being mentioned, we recommend reaching out to your payees to determine why there may be a delay.
Please know that in the case of electronic debits using your account and routing number, these items are processed on business days. Furthermore, they may not be displayed on weekends/federal holidays as they are not considered to be business days.
