My name is Franco Meza Fajardo and I live in Lima, Perú. Two years ago, I worked in NY for three months and open a debit card VISA (#### #### #### ####) where my employer put all my salary. Now, every time I go to the cashier in Lima to recover all my money from this debit card (aprox USD 1,500), I can only get USD60 with an extra charge of USD10. What is the procedure in order to recover all my money? Why do I have to pay an extra charge?

In reply to Franco, Lima
We know how important it is to recover funds, and we'll be happy to help.
If you haven’t used your account or debit card in two years, there could be a possibility that your account and debit card could have gone into an inactive status. A checking or money market account is changed to an inactive status after 6 months of no Customer initiated activity. A savings account is changed to an inactive status after 9 months of no Customer initiated activity.
