Had a credit card stolen and received its replacement, will I encounter any issues if I need to refund a purchase to the old credit card number or will the refund be automatically redirected?

Good afternoon, Kevin, and happy Thursday. We're so sorry to hear that TD Bank Credit Card was stolen; however, we appreciate you bringing your question to us, and we'll be more than happy to help! It's first great to hear that you have already spoken with one of our Specialist regarding your stolen credit card, and have obtained a new one. As you mentioned that a refund is going to be sent to your old, now closed credit card, please don't worry, as you'll have no problem receiving this credit to your new card. To have the credit successfully applied, you may simply inform the merchant to process the refund to your closed card, and we'll take care of the rest for you! Once the merchant has processed their refund, you should see the credit appear on your card within 5-7 business days; however, it's important to note that it may take longer depending on the merchant. In the event that you run into any trouble, or if you have any additional questions, please know that our Credit Card Specialists are here to help, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To reach a Specialist, you may simply dial 1-888-561-8861, or as always, you may also visit your nearest TD Store location. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR. Thank you again for stopping by TD Helps this afternoon, Kevin! Have a fantastic rest of your week.
