Hi there Arun Kumar,
Thanks for the question!
Since you're asking about required documentation, sounds like you might be opening a new account with us. If so, it will be great to have you. We can certainly let you know what you should bring to the Store with you.
If you're opening a personal account with us, such as a Checking or Savings (feel free to check out our account offerings here: http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd and here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9), please bring two forms of identification with you. One form of ID must be a valid non-US Passport with photo or non-US Passport and Visa with photo and the second form of valid ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
If you intend to open a business account, as a non-U.S. citizen you will need two valid forms of ID as above and a W-8 Ben must be completed during the account opening process (business account options are here: http://bit.ly/1lWgAhe). You'll also need the Tax Identification number for your business as well as any required business documents. Also, if your business account is going to have multiple signers, be sure to bring them with you for the account opening process with the same forms of identification mentioned. If they are a U.S. citizen, they'll just need a valid primary ID such as a Driver's License, Passport, or Military ID and their Social Security number.
With either type of account, we recommend that you get in touch with your preferred Store prior to visiting, to ensure you have all the documentation required when you do come see us. If you're opening a business account, we can also let you know about the particular documents you'll need for the type of business you have when you call. If you click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores, you can find the TD Bank Store and lobby hours nearest you. Our contact information is also available at that link.
Thanks again for the interest Arun Kumar!
Have a great Sunday and looking forward to hearing from you.
