I returned an item a couple of days ago and should get money back on my debit card, but the money still hasn't been returned on my card. I have the receipt with all of the information on it. Did something go wrong with the return?

Hi Grace! Thanks for stopping by TD Helps with your question.
If you have the receipt for your return, it's generally a good indicator that the return was successful. Unfortunately, when you return a purchase it can take some time to receive the credit. While some merchants are able to instantly issue refunds, often times it may take approximately 3-5 business days to be received.
The speed with which a refund is issued is determined by the merchant, so we would not be able to expedite this process. However, we would be happy to take a look at your debit card to see if we can view the incoming credit. If we can see it coming through, it should be credited to the account during overnight processing, making it available first thing the next morning. If you'd like us to check this out for you, please give us a call at 888-751-9000. We have representatives available 24/7 who would be happy to look into this refund for you.
You're also welcome to visit us at a local TD Bank Store to be assisted in person. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We hope this helps explain, Grace. If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Have a wonderful day and Happy Holidays!
