Hello, If I opened up my US based account online (because I live in Canada) but finalized the paper work and received my debit card from a branch in New Jersey, Would my routing number be based on New Jersey?

Great question, Saad. We'd be glad to discuss.
Please know that when opening an account online, it may ask you to select a 'home' TD Store. As far as our records are concerned, this Store is the one associated with your account specifically. This will determine your routing number.
Prior to opening an account, we recommend taking a look at the accounts we have to offer. You are able to take a look at checking accounts here: https://go.td.com/2eQORxu and savings accounts here: https://go.td.com/2dIcnAw.
If you need help making a selection, you're able to receive a recommendation here: https://go.td.com/2sx4N2E.
Once you're ready to open an account, you are able to do so online by selecting "Open Account," by calling us 24/7 at 877-700-2913 or by visiting any TD Store. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope this clears things up, Saad, and thanks for choosing TD!
