I have a safety deposit box at the Union, NJ branch. I understand that these are not FDIC insured. Does that mean if there was (god forbid) a fire or robbery I would just lose everything inside and not be entitled to any reimbursement?

Welcome to TD Helps Giselle. We'd be glad to point you in the right direction.
You're able to learn what types of accounts are FDIC insured and additional details by visiting here: https://go.td.com/2R4wTyX.
For safe deposit boxes specifically, we recommend reviewing the Safe Deposit Box Lease Contract that you completed during your box creation. To review these details please visit a TD Store during lobby hours.
You're able to take a look at TD Stores and their hours here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We look forward to hearing from you at a TD Store soon, Giselle. Have a good week!
