Great question, Shawanda, we'll be happy to clear up any confusion.
If you are activating a new re-issued ATM card, you would need to enter the PIN from your previous ATM card. In the occasion that you do not have a social security number, we would mail a PIN separately, for security purposes. This would typically arrive within a day or two after you receive your debit card in the mail.
If you need assistance with activating your ATM card, you may contact us directly at 888-751-9000, available 24/7. You may also visit your local TD Bank Store to activate your ATM card. To view our Store locations and hours, please click here: https://go.td.com/2xqHXMr.
We hope this helps with activating your ATM card, Shawanda. Have a nice day!
