Good morning, Bobby and welcome to TD Helps.
When applying for a Secured Credit Card with TD Bank, we do require that you open a Savings account at the time of your application. This account is then used for you to make a deposit which is held as collateral against the card. After your application is submitted, you should expect to receive a decision via mail within 7-10 business days and at that point if you have been approved, you will need to come back into the Store to make your collateral deposit based on the credit limit you're approved for. For example, if you are approved for $500.00 credit limit, you will need to deposit $500.00 and your credit card limit will be $500.00.
We invite you to take a look here for the Personal Credit Card Agreement for TD Easy Rewards Secured: http://bit.ly/1wtjCwy. Also, in order to apply for a TD Secured Credit Card, you will need to stop by any TD Bank Store during lobby hours. To find the TD Store location near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you have additional question(s) about TD Secured Credit Card, you are more than welcome to contact us 24/7 at 888-561-8861 to speak with a TD Credit Card Specialist or visit your local TD Bank Store, during lobby hours for assistance.
We hope to meet you soon, Bobby and good luck to your application!
