I'd like to expand on the question asked by Jon but in how it works in New Jersey. Does TD Bank offer a dollar-for-dollar credit line with respect to the amount deposited to secure the credit card? I.e. for a $1k deposit am I granted a $1k credit limit? I currently have an account with TD.

Thanks for your interest in a Secured Credit Card with TD Bank, Victoria. We are happy to help!
TD Bank offers our Cash Rewards Credit Card with a minimum credit limit of $500.00 as a secured card. Please keep in mind that in order to open a secured card like this, we also require that you open a deposit account with us to use as collateral against the card. You will have to deposit into this account an amount equal to the same amount that your credit line is approved for.
In order to apply for a TD Secured Credit Card, you may stop by any TD Bank Store. To take a look at TD Stores near you please visit: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc. You can also set up an appointment in advance if you'd like by reaching out to a Banking Specialist by phone 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
After you've applied, you should expect to receive a decision via mail within 7-10 business days after the application was submitted, and at that point you will need to come back into the Store to make your collateral deposit.
We hope this helps, Victoria!

I currently have a secure credit card, it's the TD Cash Credit Card. My question is when I'll get the unsecure TD Cash Credit Card, will TD VISA send me a new card or will this card converted to an unsecure card.
P.S I have 500$ secure deposit in my account, will the change to unsecure to secure bring back the funds to my checking out ?

Thanks for joining in on the conversation today, Stephan!
These are great questions, and we'll be more than happy to help.
As it sounds as if you already have a Secured Credit Card with TD Bank, when your card is to be converted to an Unsecured Credit Card, you will not need to obtain a new card. You may continue to use the same card you already have in your possession as this card will now be applied to the credit limit you were approved for.
Additionally, once your card has been converted to an Unsecured Credit Card, you should receive a letter in the mail to the address we have on record that includes instructions on how to obtain your initial deposit. Typically speaking, you are able to visit your nearest TD Store location within 25 days after the conversion took place to obtain your funds.
If you'd like to discuss any account specific questions or concerns, or if you would like to confirm when your card may be converted, you may always call and speak with one of our knowledgeable Credit Card Specialist by simply calling 888-561-8861, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Or, if you'd prefer, you may also speak with a Customer Service Representative at your nearest TD Store location, during lobby hours. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
Thanks again for stopping by, Stephan! Have a great weekend!
