I want to apply for secured visa to rebuild my credit, I've been to different TD branches and get different answers. So I will ask here and hopefully I'll get an answer. My question is can I deposit $500 into the secured visa even though I am not attending school? Or does it have to be $1000? Thank You.

Thank you for joining us on TD Helps, Bin.
TD Bank offers our Easy Rewards Credit Card with a minimum credit limit of $500.00 as a secured card. Please take a look here for some more information and the Personal Credit Card Agreement for our TD Easy Rewards Secured Credit Card: http://bit.ly/1wtjCwy. Please keep in mind that in order to open a secured card like this, we also require that you open a deposit account with us to use as collateral against the card. You will have to deposit into this account an amount equal to the same amount that your credit line is approved for.
In order to apply for a TD Secured Credit Card, you may stop by any TD Bank Store. For hours and locations near you, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores. You can also set up an appointment in advance if you'd like by reaching out to a Banking Specialist by phone 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
After you've applied, you should expect to receive a decision via mail within 7-10 business days after the application was submitted, and at that point you will need to come back into the Store to make your collateral deposit.
Thanks again for stopping by, Bin and we hope you have a great day.
