Hi Malhar! We'd be happy to help.
Depending on whether or not you're sending the funds to your account at Bank of America or to someone else, the instructions and costs may be different.
If you're looking to send funds to your account at another financial institution, we offer external transfers right from within your online banking. To start, log into your online banking by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once logged in select the "Transfers" tab and click the "Begin external transfers setup" button. There will be some information about external transfers to read. When you're ready to continue, click "Enroll Now". On the next screen, confirm that your email address is correct and then read the terms and conditions and review the personal fee schedule. You can also review the fee schedule by clicking here: https://go.td.com/2kFZ5mK. You'll then need to check the three boxes at the bottom and click "Accept". Finally, you'll need to confirm the telephone numbers are correct and press "Confirm".
You may be asked to verify your email address or phone number. Once you've received the validation code, just go back to the "Transfers" tab and select "Transfer to Accounts Outside of TD Bank" from the top. You'll see the yellow triangle alerting you that you need to validate your information. Click the blue hyperlink and put in the code. Then you're all set!
With this enrollment you should be set up for External Transfers and Send Money. Send Money is a free service that allows you to send funds to others instantaneously. As long as the receiver has an active checking account and active debit card with a U.S. Bank that participates with Zelle, they should be able to receive any funds you send them.
To enroll in Send Money alone, it can easily be done through your online or mobile banking. To begin, log in by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Select the 'Send Money' tab and ensure the email address shown is correct. You'll then need to accept the Terms and Conditions. If you sign up for this service with your mobile number, select text or call to receive a verification code. If you sign up using your email we'll send you a verification code by email. Be sure you have mobile notifications enabled for TD Bank. If you sign up with your email and don't receive the verification code, please check your e-mail spam folder. You'll then need to enter the code to verify your email address or mobile number. We'll show your accounts that are eligible for Instant Transfer. Just choose the one you wish to use.
If you choose to set up this service from the mobile app, select 'Send Money' from the quick links or transfer screen and continue with the same instructions above.
If you have any questions or problems enrolling in External Transfers or Send Money, please give our Tech Support Team a call so that we may troubleshoot this with you. We can be reached 24/7 at 800-493-7562. You may also stop in to see us at any of our Stores to be assisted in person. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We hope this information helps. Have a great day, Malhar!
