in order to maintain the free safety box, you need to keep $250 in your acc't., what happens if you withdraw $250? Is there a grace period in which to replenish it?

Great question, J'ai,
Thanks for writing in and we hope you're enjoying your evening!
Sounds like you may have our 60 Plus Checking account, J'ai. If you do, the fee on a 3x5 Safe Deposit box is waived for the first year at this time, with half off after that. Kindly note that this may be subject to change.
We can discuss this in regard to the account minimum for you. This type of account does require a daily minimum balance of $250.00 in order to waive the monthly maintenance fee. Feel free to take a look at the 60 Plus Checking Account Guide right here: http://bit.ly/1yFOmu7. If the account doesn't meet this minimum on one or more days in the statement cycle, the maintenance fee will be assessed on the last day of the statement cycle. However, the amount you maintain in the account will not affect your safe deposit box fee or fee waiver. As long as you have this type of account, you are eligible for the safe deposit box discount (as long as it is offered by TD Bank).
We'd be happy to confirm your account type and discuss this in further detail with you if you'd like to get in touch with us. We're available by phone at 888-751-9000, or at any of our Stores: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Thanks again for your message and we hope this helped!
Have a wonderful night.
