Thanks for coming by TD Helps, Kyle! We'll be happy to provide some useful information in regards to using your TD debit or credit card outside the US.
We're pleased to let you know that cards bearing the Visa logo are accepted all over the world. With that being said, we also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling; just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.
Before traveling, we do recommend placing a Travel Notification on your checking and/or savings account before you leave. To place a travel notification, you can call our Customer Service Line 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or by visiting your local TD Bank Store. For a listing of TD Bank Stores and hours check http://bit.ly/TDStores. If you are setup for online banking, another option would be to send a secured message usingwww.tdbank.com and request the Travel Notifications be added to your account. To send a secured message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq . On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center”. Please include your travel destination(s) and travel dates. If you are not enrolled for online banking, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY . You will need your Social Security number, TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, his account number, and your e-mail address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
To contact Customer Service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from outside the United States, please dial direct 1-856-751-9000. You may also contact us collect by dialing 00+1-215-569-0518. If you need to contact our 24/7 TD Card Services line while you are abroad, please dial 1-706-644-3266 via collect outside of the US.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions, Kyle and have a safe trip!
