Good morning, Scott and thank you for dropping by TD Helps on this lovely Friday.
If you are a TD Bank Customer and would like to deposit a government check which is made payable to a third party, please know that government or insurance checks can only be presented for payment to the person listed on the "Payable to" line of the check. For this reason, if this government check was issued to a third party, it can only be deposited into the payee's account.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop by any of the TD Store locations in your area. To find out TD Store locations near you, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Last but not least, if you currently bank with another financial institution, you will need to connect with your financial institution directly to obtain the guideline of how to handle this situation.
We hope the information provided help. Let us know if you have any further questions. Have a great one.
