I'd like to sign my pay check over to a friend to deposit instead of traveling to my bank to cash or paying fees, can I do this? Also, if so how is it done?

Thanks for reaching out to us, Kate, and great question! We'll be happy to chat with you about your check.
From your message, it sounds as though you'd like to endorse your check to a friend of yours that banks with us here at TD Bank. If this is the case, we can let you know that we'll be able to accept this item for deposit to their TD Bank account when you visit a TD Bank Store with the intended payee and you both have valid identification.
Please keep in mind, government or insurance checks can only be presented for payment to the person listed on the "Payable to" line of the check, and for a check with two payees, these types of checks can only be deposited into a joint account naming both parties.
If you need further assistance, you may contact our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000. You may also feel free to visit your local TD Bank store for additional assistance. To find out TD store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Hope this answers your question, Kate! We look forward to seeing you at one of our Stores soon.
