We appreciate you bringing your concerns to TD Helps today, Destiny.
We'll be happy to clear up any confusion.
As you mentioned that you are expecting a direct deposit from your employer, we'd like to take a moment to explain that, generally speaking, funds are available to you on the date designated by your depositor. These types of deposits are processed overnight at varying times and will be available for use once processing is complete. We invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: https://go.td.com/2nf0JAI. On pages 40-44, you can find our Funds Availability Policy, along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
It's also important to note that as you've just started your direct deposit, please keep in mind that direct deposits generally take 1-2 payment cycles to begin. Usually, they will test the account first with a zero dollar deposit to make sure all your account information is correct.
If you still haven't received your direct deposit to your account like you were expecting, we'd like to recommend that you contact your employer directly.
If you have any questions or concerns in regard to your account, please don't hesitate to connect with a Banking Specialist directly. Specialists are available to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be reached at 1-888-751-9000. You're also welcome to visit your nearest TD Store location, during lobby hours, for assistance. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope this information was helpful, Destiny, and please enjoy your weekend.

Similar situation. I have a zero dollar deposit. Does this mean I can expect a paper check from my employer and a direct deposit next pay period or the money will be available tomorrow when it's scheduled to deposit?

Thanks for joining the conversation, Jenell!
If you've also received a $0.00 authorization from your employer, you can likely expect that your next paycheck will be in the form of a direct deposit. As our friend Brittany stated above, these types of transactions are done as verification that the account is open and active prior to beginning a regular payroll direct deposit.
As we said, your next paycheck should be direct deposited to your account, but we recommend reaching out to your employer's payroll department for confirmation of your starting direct deposit date.
If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at any of our Stores. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We hope you have a great weekend, Jenell!
