My spouse currently has a different bank. He will not switch. We're constantly transferring money (which takes days). Can we open a TD Go account with me being the "parent" (and the one with TD Bank) and add him as the "teen", or does it have to be someone under 18? This would be helpful instead of us waiting days for a transfer to his other bank or writing checks.

Thanks for contacting TD Helps today, Brian. This is a great question, and we'll be happy to point you in the right direction.
While the TD Go Card is a card that is typically used by parents to better monitor their teens spending, anyone over the age of 13 is eligible to receive a TD Go Card. If you are interested in getting a TD Go card, you may do so by visiting this link: http://bit.ly/1jWLKzt to take you to the "Enrollment" page. Please select the "Enrollment Type" and select "Continue". You will then be asked to create your profile and a series of questions will be asked. Once you've created a profile, you will then be able to add who you are opening the card for by selecting the "Adding a Teen" button. You will need to provide the information for this person, and then fund the card.
The TD Go Card is mailed as soon as it has been funded. In order to fund a TD Go Card you must have a TD Bank debit or credit card. Please also allow 5-7 business days from the date it is loaded to receive the TD Go Card. The card is mailed to the address which was entered online, which is most likely the billing address connected to the TD Bank debit or Credit Card you used to load the account.
In addition to our age requirement of a cardholder needing to be 13 years of age or older, a Social Security number is also required. For more information on the TD GO card, take a look here: https://go.td.com/1dO87uC. You may also take a look at our TD Go Card FAQs, by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1gRpCay. We hope this helps, Brian. Enjoy the rest of your day, and have a great weekend.
