I stopped payment on a specific check for $450.00. Now TD Bank is telling me that all checks for $450.00 are being stopped. How is this possible when I only authorized one specific check to be stopped?

Thanks for your question, Susan. We're sorry to hear about any confusion.
When you place a stop payment on a check, the amount, payee and the check number are used as identifiers to prevent the specific item from applying to your statement.
Please know that stop payments placed on checks and automatic/direct debits are active for one full calendar year (365 days).
To clarify the details of the stop payment you've placed, we recommend contacting us directly. You are able to call our Banking Specialists 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or by visiting any TD Store during lobby hours. To take a look at TD Stores near you please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please know that we would like to assist you directly however TD Helps is considered an unsecured forum and we do not have access to your account/personal information.
We hope this helps, Susan and have a good day.
