Thanks for stopping by TD Helps today, Kimberly. We'd be glad to help!
A parent can be listed on any active Checking account as long as they're listed as an authorized signer, and it is only necessary they be listed if the student is under the age of 18.
Whether you are the student or the parent, and would like the account in question to be a joint account, we ask that both of you visit a TD Bank Store during lobby hours to speak with a Customer Service Representative. Please make sure to bring proper identification (Driver's License, State issued photo ID, Passport, etc.) and Social Security number with you. Check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
Once again, thanks for stopping by TD Helps and please let us know if you have any other questions. Have a great night.
