I am a Canadian citizen who has recently been accepted to an MBA program in the USA. I will need a TD student line of credit, and my co-signer for the line of credit is American. As a Canadian studying in the US, can I get an American TD student line of credit so that it can be co-signed by an American? Or am I only eligible for a Canadian student line of credit? Is there a difference? Thanks!

Welcome to the TD Helps community. This is a great question and congratulations on being accepted to an MBA program here in the States!
Although TD Bank does not offer Student or Education loans specifically at this time, the funds received from certain types of loans (such as a Home Equity Loan or Line of Credit) may be used to pay for college expenses. You are more than welcome to connect with a member of our Financial Solutions Group 24/7 at 800-937-5020, so that they may discuss this further and determine which one of our current loan products may best suit your needs.
Seeing that you're interested in a student line of credit and you are from Canada, you may be eligible to apply for the account at TD Canada Trust. Please find some helpful info here: http://bit.ly/1Dox1Ia that our friend Michael provided regarding the requirements for those types of accounts. You may like to check with TD Canada Trust directly to determine if you'll be able to apply with an American co-signer and feel free to add your question here on their TD Helps page: http://bit.ly/1kD3iFr or get in touch with them here: http://bit.ly/1woOVay.
Please also take note of the last portion in Michael's message, which mentions our Cross Border Banking options that you may like to take advantage of during your stay here. For any cross border questions you have, give us a ring 24/7 at 877-700-2913.
We hope this helps, Justine and best of luck with your studies!
