Hi, I am considering moving over to TD Bank as my primary bank. I was looking at checking account options and one thing I noticed, which was concerning, was the fact that my large IRA with TD Ameritrade doesn't qualify me for some sort of relationship package for premium type of checking. Am I missing something or do investment accounts not qualify me for anything?

Thank you for coming to TD Helps with your question, Joseph. This is a question that we're sure many people have and we're glad to explain.
Although TD Ameritrade and TD Bank are affiliated with one another, we are different entities and we do apologize as our products are independent of each other. Here at TD Bank we offer many accounts to meet your banking needs and we actually offer IRAs of our own; we apologize though as we currently do not offer relationship packages in regards to accounts you may have with TD Ameritrade. We'd like you to know that as a mutual Customer however, you are able to take advantage of some great in-Store services we have here at TD Bank without paying any fees. These services include: the ability to cash checks drawn on TD Bank, free use of any of our Penny Arcade coin counting machines, and no out-of-network ATM fees for using a TD Ameritrade debit card at any TD Bank ATM machine!
Here at TD Bank we have accounts which not only offer low minimum balance requirements to avoid monthly maintenance fees, but also provide many convenient features and benefits at no additional cost. Check out http://bit.ly/1f9fEn9 to take a look at our Checking account features. You can get a personalized recommendation by visiting our Checking Selector Tool here: http://bit.ly/1gAWlhY. After your recommended account pops up, you will be given the option to open your account online, right then and there! You could also open your account by calling 888-751-9000 and speaking with a Customer Service Representative 24/7, or even stop by your nearest TD Store location to open it up in person! We'll surely pass your feedback along, and again we apologize for any inconvenience! Feel free to ask us more questions and have a wonderful day!
