I recently made a balance transfer from my TD Bank Visa to a new credit card. I inadvertently gave them my TD Bank debit card account number. I emailed them and told them about this error. I then sent them the correct credit card account number, but they processed the first transaction with the debit card account number and it transferred it from my TD Bank Visa. Are TD debit cards linked to TD Visa credit cards? How did this happen?

Thank you for contacting us on TD Helps, Julie.
Please understand that TD Visa debit card and TD Visa credit card are two separate products. As you have provided incorrect information to your new credit card company, we highly recommend reaching out to your new credit card company directly as soon as possible to determine if they can cancel the first balance transfer they have processed to the wrong account.
Thanks again for writing in, Julie. We hope this will get resolved for you quickly!
