I received the following email requesting me to register and setup a password. I have exchanged emails with my advisor at TD for the past couple of years and never had this request. Is this something new TD has implemented? Is it safe.
"At TD Bank, your privacy is very important to us and we are committed to safeguarding your personal information. That’s why we use secure eMail to send online messages to our Customers. To allow us to send you secure messages in the future, please complete the one-time registration using the link below.
Registration is easy! Simply click the link below to register and create a password:
TD Bank Secure Email Messaging Server for Registration
This link will be valid for 5 days, after which a new secure message will need to be sent to you in order to complete your registration.
Once you have registered, the message referenced above will be automatically sent to you and you will be able to receive secure messages from TD Bank in the future.
We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to Build The Better Bank. If you have any questions, please contact the sender of this message at email@example.com.
